AdminHistoryThe idea of Child to Child was originally conceived in 197[9] by Professor David Morley of the University of London's Institute of Child Health. Working with colleagues at the Institute of Education, University of London he built up a worldwide network of health and education workers who used the Child to Child ideas and materials. The Trust as based at the Institute of Education and received funds from national and international agencies, trusts and foundations, industry and private individuals. Its objectives were to promote and preserve the health communities worldwide be encouraging and enabling children and young people to play and active and responsible role in the health and development of themselves, other children and their families. In 1991 the Trust received UNICEF's Maurice Pate Award given in recognition of 'extraordinary and exemplary leadership in and contribution to the survival, protection and development of children worldwide.
