Description	Papers relating to the 'Future of English' seminar programme (1994-1996) initiated by staff at the IOE Dept of English, Media and Drama, including Gunther Kress, Tony Burgess and Ken Jones. The programme was designed to facilitate discussion of the development of the English curriculum in the light of political and societal change. Also background papers including transcripts from Sessions One and Two of the Commission of Enquiry into English and numerous offprints relating to the Cox Report (1989) on English for ages 5 to 16.
