Description	Two manuscript leaves from Rudolph Hermann Lotze's Metaphysik, written and corrected in the same hand. Corrections are made in ink and red pencil. On paper. The text is from book 2, chapter 1, and the leaves are numbered 21-14 in red pencil. Paragraph numbers and markers have been inserted in red.

AdminHistory	The philosopher Rudolf Hermann Lotze was born in Bautzen, Saxony, in 1817. His publications included "Metaphysik" (Leipzig, 1841), and he was the founder of Theistic Idealism. He died in Berlin in 1881.
CustodialHistory	A sheet of paper attached to the fly-leaf records that the fragment was given by Lotze to Professor James Sully, who presented it to Dr Wolf.
Acquisition	Presented to University College London by Dr Wolf.
