TitleBreviary [Fragment]
Date12th Century?
DescriptionFragment of a leaf from a liturgical manuscript, probably a breviary. Text in a sloping Caroline minuscule in a single column in black ink with red capitals and rubrics. On the recto there are lessons from Luke 18:31-34, Ezekiel, John 19, and Romans 11:33. The text from Romans continues on the verso with Romans 11:34-36, followed by a homily based on John 15:26-27 and John 16:14, "Cum venerit paraclitus quem ego mittam vobis...", a lesson from Jeremiah 14 and a reading from Mark 11:23-26.
There is an annotation in ink in the margin on the verso and a rectangle of parchment with the identifier XIV in the bottom corner of the verso, this probably relates to use as a binding fragment.
