TitleBiblical Commentary [Fragment]
Date14th Century
DescriptionBifolium, parchment, possibly a Biblical commentary. The text on f.1r concerns the saints Simon and Jude, as indicated by the header "de symo[n]e & iude". Text is a minuscule cursive documentary script in dark brown ink, heavily abbreviated and in a single column of unruled lines, very closely spaced.
Main body text in two columns with black underlining and red highlights. There is a large initial E in red at the top of f.2r which appears to have been added over the original text. There are some 16th century(?) annotations in the cental margin on the recto which are faded and illegible. They run perpendicular to the main text, in the space which would have been the spine when the fragment was used for binding, and may relate to the bound work.
