Description | Half a leaf from a bible, parchment. Main body text in black in a Gothic bookhand, probably originally two columns but the fragment has been cut vertically and only one column of text is now present. With red highlights and rubrics. The text is Deuteronomy 14:21-29. The rubric "XV" at the end of the text on verso probably indicates the start of the next chapter. There is an erasure at line 11 on the verso, "quia non habet aliam partem", where the "aliam" has been corrected and there is a gap before "partem". There is a line of marks at the top of the recto which may be pen trials or doodles. There is an annotation in the right-hand margin on the recto in a later hand than the main text, possibly 17th century, of which part is missing but the visible portion reads "Inventori[..] Actoruum Cameral[..]". |
