Description | Fragment of a leaf from a breviary, parchment. The leaf has been cut horizontally and the top and bottom sections of text are missing. The text is in a black protogothic script in two columns with red highlights, rubrics and capitals. There is a large decorated "I" on the verso. On the recto there is part of a lesson from the Martyrum of Sts. Gereon, Victor, Cassius and Florentius, attributed to Helinandus Frigidmontis. On the verso there is a lesson from the sermon of St Thomas Aquinas, beginning with the decorated initial "I"; "Inmensa [immensa] divine largitatis beneficia exhibita populo Christiano...". |
