AdminHistory | After the publication of Learning to Succeed a Follow-up Steering Group was established 'to promote the public discussion, acceptance and practical implementation of the vision and goals.' This resulted in new reports, including Learning to Succeed After Sixteen (1995) and Learning to Succeed: The Way Ahead (1995). New work was also undertaken on a follow-up project, a large study of effective schools in deprived areas, overseen by a consultative group consisting of Margaret Maden, John Cassels, Michael Barber, Peter Mortimore, Barry Wakefield and Josh Hillman. This resulted in the publication of a further report in June 1995 entitled Success Against the Odds: Effective Schools in Disadvantaged Areas. |
