DescriptionRelics of Royalty: a small piece of embroidery said to have been worked by Mary, Queen of Scotland, a lock of her hair; a piece of cloth said to be from Queen Charlotte's petticoat. Notes by Frances le Marchant (c1902) attached to each item. Also notes by Penrose attempting to trace the provenance of the items, which were given to his great aunt Algerina Penrose in 1902 and passed from her to him in 1928.
