Description	The terms of reference of the working party were to advise the Committee on the: - Extent to which the different teacher training courses equip teachers for work in primary schools - Extent to which the training institutions on the one hand, and schools on the other, are in effective contact with one another - Adequacy of in-service training arrangements as a whole - Suitability of the arrangements made for teachers in their probationary year - Other matters concerning the training of teachers The working party began work in the autumn of 1964 and was expected to report to the main Council no later than October 1965.
