DescriptionMinute books, scrap books, registers and other material relating to mainly UK deaf schools and organisations, including some visual material such as posters and photographs. Much of the material is sourced from the private library of Selwyn Oxley, an English mission worker with the deaf in the 1920s and 1930s.

AdminHistoryThe UCL Ear Institute and RNID Libraries are a collaborative venture between UCL, RNID and the NHS. The libraries were based at the Royal National Throat Nose & Ear Hospital (RNTNEH) and together constituted the largest specialist collection for audiology, deaf studies, and ear, nose and throat (ENT) or otorhinolaryngologic (ORL) medicine in Europe. The Ear Institute Library closed in 2020 and the RNID collection of books and archives were moved to UCL Special Collections
