| Description | Comprises papers relating to Simon's personal life. The series has been divided into sections comprising papers relating to his family, education, employment and the honorary degrees he received in later life. There is also a section of photographs and a numbre of miscellaneous files at the end of the series.
Many of Simon's personal papers, including a great deal of correspondence with his wife Joan and his parents Shena Simon and Ernest Simon were collected together by Simon and used during his research for his autobiography. They largely date from his education at Gresham's School, Holt, through to his service in the Army during the Second World War. These papers have been catalogued at SIM/4/5. |
