This file comprises number 41-44 (and others)  Includes correspondence with Peter Dunnill, originally working as a co-author of the memoir. 
 
The correspondence was used as part of Clarke's research for the memoir on Lilly printed in Biographical Memoirs of Fellows of the Royal Society vol 46 (2000). 
 
Lilly undertook postgraduate reseach under Clarke at University College London 1959-1962. He remained at UCL for the rest of his career, being appointed Professor of Biochemical Engineering in 1979.</dc:description>
