  <dc:description>An almost complete set of the journal published monthly by the College of Preceptors from 1847-1923, when it was replaced by the Education Outlook. The Times generally contained notes and articles on education and movements in education; reviews of meetings of the College and text of some of the lectures given at the College; book reviews; general notices, sample mathematical questions and answers; class lists of all pupils who passed the midwinter and midsummer pupil exams, including prize winners and schools attended by the pupils; and general news regarding members. Early Times also included lists of successful diploma candidates and some lists of members of the College. The majority of the volumes are indexed. 

Class lists are usually arranged as follows: prize winners; list of candidates who obtained first and second places in first class papers; class list of boys who passed the examination arranged by order of merit; Class list of girls who passed the examinations arranged by merit.</dc:description>
