The project built upon a similar initiative at Tollington Park School in Islington. The project aimed to explore concepts vital to the first two years of home economics; study the language used in home economics; devise appropriate classroom activities that enable language development; create resources for teaching ESL students. The project was carried out at Tollington Park (later George Orwell), Pimlico and Islington Green School.</dc:description>
