<dc:title>Crichton-Browne, Sir James to Francis Galton</dc:title>
<dc:description>Letter from Crichton-Browne, enquiring into Galton's research into families with histories of mental health problems, and suggesting that if Galton "showed the way" then the Medico-Psychological Association could collect data from asylums and medical officers across the country.
Crichton-Browne also suggests that Galton investigate the medico-psychological literature for existing data, and recommends the work of Dr A Urquhart and Dr [Graininge Stewart?].
The letter ends with Crichton-Browne asking "may not eugenic prudence be carried too far?" [here Galton has annotated "yes" in the margin], describing a case where a man feared to marry his fiance because of a family history of diabetes.</dc:description>
