<dc:title>Hallevy, Moise: Hebrew letter to Gaster </dc:title>
<dc:description>Envelope and visiting card with a handwritten message on the back from Moise Hallevy, the cheif rabbi of Turkey. Sent to Gaster from Constantinople in 1907. Message written in Hebrew using Rashi script. The letter expresses a deep admiration for Gaster as a religious figure and regret on the part of rabbi Hallevy that he cannot travel to see him in person as he is too old and frail to do so. The letter seems to be a farewell blessing and memento from the rabbi. </dc:description>
