Thirtle, James William Letters to Gaster from James William Thirtle, editor of "The Christian" newspaper. He asks Gaster to nominate him for membership of the Royal Asiatic Society, and subsequently thanks him. In a later letter, Thirtle offers to review Gaster's Schweich Lectures on the Samaritans in his newspaper, and asks if the publisher might send him a copy. Another letter asks Gaster for details of his forthcoming work, so that Thirtle can make an announcement about it in "The Christian". 1905-1929
