The initial letters are bound and indexed in letter books and it appears that the later correspondence was decanted from similar files. Some of the correspondence does appear in other series in the collection. The correspondence seems to be a fairly complete set and covers issues such as annual accounts, circulars; premises; staff including pensions and salaries (Burnham Scale); curriculum; advanced courses; war time precautions; examinations; free students on teacher training courses; fees; foreign assistants; free place scholars; and finance. 1933-1951
