  <dc:title>Vice-Presidents</dc:title>
<dc:description>Biographical material on Vice-Presidents who were not formerly members of the Council. The majority of vice-Presidents were retired members of the Council. Papers regarding Vice-Presidents who were also members of the Council can be found in GDS/1/3/8. There were varying numbers of vice-presidents who also were members of the Council. The honorary role is usually held for life. After 1964 the numbers of Vice-presidents were limited and they were no longer defacto members of the Council. Also after this date Vice-Presidents could resign from the post. </dc:description>
