Finance Committee Papers of the Finance Committee Minute books comprising minute books, 1887-1880, 1903-1938. The minutes up to 1913 contain contain quite detailed accounts on wages and individual school's expenditure. From 1909 the minute books also contain minutes of various sub-committees related to finance which have been listed in the descriptions. From 1875, the Finance Committee was responsible for all financial issues of the Company. The Committee comprised members of the Council plus a few specialist financial advisors. In 1944 the Finance Committee was dissolved and replaced by the Finance and Premises Committee. The Finance and Premises Committee was later dissolved in 1950 and the chair of the Council became responsible for administration of finance. In 1962 a small Finance Committee was reconstituted. During the 1992/1993 reorganisation the Finance Committee was dissolved and its duties began the responsibility of the Finance and General Purposes Committee. 1887-1938
