The sender thanks the recipient for lending him some money after loosing a considerable sum because of the 'guerre en Amérique', presumably the War of Independence. Includes numerous corrections. The draft was written on paper previously used for a different purpose as there are two lines at the top in German in a different hand. The top section of the manuscript is missing. n.d.
