<dc:title>Election book for admissions; and applicants for external assistance.</dc:title>
<dc:description>Lists, from 27 July 1751, of men and women nominated for admission to the Hospital, giving their ages. Votes are recorded (for the Directors) against each name, and usually a note 'admis' or 'admise' against the candidate who has the most. There are a few brief notes.
The book, however, had been started, and pages 1-17 used from January 1741/2 to March 1748/9, as a register of married male applicants for external assistance. Information on these includes age, state of health, name of wife, sometimes occupation, birthplace, and name of person recommending; occasionally other details of the family.</dc:description>
