Charles Audibert Charles Audibert, a 71 year old upholsterer, requests to be admitted to the Hospital. He was born in Orange, in France but had to flee to England to avoid persecution. Charles has been a member of the French Church of La Patente in Soho for a long time. He is very poor and finds it difficult to find work.
