Draft 'Note concerning the present situation of the French emigrants in Great Britain.' The writer argues that although the British Government allows annually the sum of £144,000 for the relief of French immigrants (which is sufficient to keep them all out of want), the majority of them die 'by want of subsistence' because the allowance is not properly distributed.
