Committee on Special Entry / Committee on Shortened Courses and Equivalent Qualifications for Admission to Courses of Initial Training / Committee on Special Admissions Comprises agendas, minutes and papers for the three committees responsible for special admissions to courses (such as when candidates did not hold the required qualifications), including onto shortened courses. Up until 1973/74 this work was carried out by two committees (special Entry and Shortened Courses). In 1974 a new committee on Special Admissions was established. Series comprises: Papers of Committee on Special Entry 1959-1973 (full set) Papers of Committee on Shortened Courses 1970-1974 (not full set) Papers of Committee on Special Entry 1974-1979 In addition there was a committee of special entry testers who were reponsible for interviewing the applicants. Papers cover the period September 1970-October 1976. However the committee appears to have met over a longer period than this. 1959-1973
