35 - 37 Bedford Way - Administration A new hostel was provided for about 43 women students at 35 - 37 Bedford Way by the repair and adaptation of Meiers Hotel with the aid of a university grant of £8000. (C1950s). In the late 1960s some rooms were adapted for staff use - as teaching rooms and staff rooms. Some time in the late 1960s/early 1970s the lease on 35-37 Bedford Way was sold back to Imperial London Hotels Limited in return for buying a lease for 1 - 3 Bedford Place. 1952 - 1971
