1 - 3 Bedford Place Adapted to make a Hall of Resident to replace 35 - 37 Bedford Way, (early 1970s) - agreement was that when 1 - 3 Bedford Place was suitably adapted for hostel use then the IOE would vacate 35 - 37 Bedford Way. There is also relevant material in IE/BLD/18 as 1-3 Bedford Place was adapted as use for an IOE hostel to replace the use of 35 - 37 Bedford Way (both buildings owned by Imperial London Hotels Limited). The IOE sold the unexpired lease on 35 - 37 Bedford Way back to Imperial London Hotels Limited in return for buying a lease for 1 - 3 Bedford Place.
