  <dc:title>Children's Writing: Edmonton Conference</dc:title>
<dc:description>A folder of James Britton’s with the printed title ‘NOTE: Dr Britton’s Session’. It contains the typescript introduction for a booklet to accompany ‘Language in the Role of Spectator’ videotape at the Edmonton Conference on Elementary Education, 8-11 October 1975. It also includes a transcript of school children talking about some of their memories and experiences, and a loose sheet of handwritten notes.
There are also a few sheets of written work by children, where they written about negative experiences they have had. The general theme seems to be how they have struggled to comply with the behaviour expected of them, and how they have been punished and excluded (Closed until 2070).</dc:description>
