<dc:title>International Steering Committee: Correspondence and minutes</dc:title>
<dc:description>Some of James Britton's papers regarding his involvement in an 'International Steering Committee'. According to the documents in this file, the International Steering Committee for the Teaching of English was “established in 1966, following the Dartmouth Seminar”, as a liaison body to link the major professional organisations in this field in the UK, USA, Canada, and Australia (namely the AATE, CCTE, NATE, and NTCE). James Britton became a member of this committee.
These papers consist of memos, minutes, proposals, conference papers, and correspondence. The majority of the correspondence is with Merron Chorny of The University of Calgary, Canada.</dc:description>
