  <dc:description>Originally given by Katz as the Bayliss-Starling lecture in 1985, and later published in Journal of Physiology 1986 370 1:1-12. This formed the basis for Katz's later published autobiography.  Correspondence with the Physiological Society and Journal of Physiology re the lecture, publication, illustrations and photographs. Also includes two black and white photographs of WAH Rushton and Sir John Carew ('Jack') Eccles which were used in the final article. Other correspondents include M Rosenberg.</dc:description>
