Laboratory of the Government Chemist (LGC) Malcolm Lilly's correspondence and papers regarding The Biotransformation Club. The Biotransformation Club was operated by the Biotechnology Research Group of the Laboratory of the Government Chemist. The LGC was a research establishment of the Department of Trade and Industry. The rationale of the Club was that biotransformations would effect many sectors of industry and that there was a clear need for these sectors to be aware of the many opportunities that biotransformations could offer. Lilly was a member of the Club on behalf of the UCL Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering. 1986-1990
