The ex Sports Minister, Dick Tracey, states his opposition to the ILEA sending pollsters names and addresses of parents without their permission. - A newspaper cutting marked in pen as taken from the Shepherds Bush Gazette 22/4 with the headline 'Ballot 'No' to Schools Shake-up', explaining that a number of church schools decided to boycott the ballot, especially those from the Hammersmith and Shepherds Bush areas. - A letter from Jane Clarke, Assistant Divisional Education Officer of the ILEA to Tom Gretton, dated 22 April 1988 listing those schools which did not provide addresses for the parents ballot. - A letter to Tom Gretton from John McIntosh, Headmaster of The London Oratory School, dated 29 Feb 1988, stating that he did not wish to be involved in the campaign.
