  <dc:title>Correspondence</dc:title>
<dc:description>Contains correspondence received by McCarthy and arranged alphabetically. Original folders included a manuscript note [in the hand of Cavan McCarthy?] headed 'Manuscript of letters' and reading 'Readers are reminded that this is the working file made up by the editor over several years. It was not intended to be a smart collection of literary valuables. Items of a purely routine or purely personal nature have been excluded.
