  <dc:description>Two large horn books with Hebrew text for burial ceremonies. Made of wood with Hebrew text affixed to one side of each board: on one of the boards is the Hebrew text of Psalm 16, and on the other is the Hebrew text of Tziduk Hadin, a prayer for burial ceremonies.

Above the text of Psalm 16 is the Hebrew "Ba-yom she-en ʾomrim taḥanun ʾomrim zeh" (“On the day when Taḥanun is not said, say this:”, with the Taḥanun being the prayers of supplication said on non-festival days).

Hebrew text at the bottom of both boards (partly obscured on one) reads: "Zot nadav k. ha-r. R. ʾAvigdor B"H ʾUri Z"L. leha-ḥevrah ḳadisha de-gemilut ḥasadim de-Ḳ"Ḳ.Ṿesṭminsṭer Y' "A." ("This was presented by Rabbi Avigdor ben Uri, of blessed memory, to the Hebra qadisha of works of loving kindness of the sacred community of Westminster - may the Most-High establish her firmly, amen.")

Date is from chronogram at bottom of book: "Ba-shenat biL'A Ha-MaṿeT La-neṣaḥ li-f. ḳ" ("In the year ‘He will swallow up death’ by the abbreviated era"). Quote is from Isaiah 25:8. Enlarged letters equal 5575 (1814/15).</dc:description>
