Correspondence The correspondence in this section is not extensive. There is correspondence of Smith with J H Edwards, 1988-1992, relating to manuscripts by the latter that he submitted to Smith for comments, and some miscellaneous correspondence and papers relating to Association of Scientific Workers and Biometric Society meetings, 1963-1989.The other material in this section consits of some correspondence of J H Renwick, found among Smith's papers but not related to him. This tranche of correspondence is divided broadly into two groups by subject matter. One group (MS ADD 426/D/2/1) appertains to a Senior Lectureship position at University College London and University College Hospital that Renwick considered in 1963, principally corresponding with L S Penrose on the matter. The other group (MS ADD 426/D/2/2-3) covers obituaries and memorials for Penrose after his death, the principal correspondent being C A Clarke. 1963-2001
