<dc:title>MSS of 'Moscow Admits a Critic' and Related Correspondence</dc:title>
<dc:description>Mss of 'Moscow admits a critic' (London, 1936) and correspondence related to the publication of this work and to Pares' visit to the Soviet Union (late 1935-early 1936) which led to the writing of the book. Pares wrote 'Moscow admits a critic' after being allowed to visit the Soviet Union for the first time since 1919. His primary aim was to negotiate Soviet/British student exchanges and develop contacts between Soviet and British academics. Some of the correspondence is from British academics asking Pares' advice on arranging visits and on appropriate contacts in the Soviet Union.</dc:description>
