  <dc:description>Papers of the National Folk Council of the Woodcraft Folk, consisting mainly of minutes of meetings. The following topics were often covered in National Folk Council meetings: the Secretary’s reports; committees; regions; relations with the Cooperative movement; Annual Delegate Conferences (ADCs); camps; international work; accounts and finances; relations with the International Falcon Movement; involvement with youth services and the British Youth Council; finance; publicity; policy changes; anti-racist work; the peace movement.
The earlier papers, from the 1940s, also contain minutes of the following committees: Education Committee; Executive Committee of the National Folk Council; Folk Supply Committee; Folkhouse Committee; Propaganda &amp; Publicity Committee; Finance and General Purposes Committee.
In addition to minutes, the National Folk Council papers also contain memos regarding organisational development and structure, including a folder of papers labelled ‘Development for New Times’, regarding a National Council policy discussion on development and the direction of the Woodcraft Folk, and its internal democracy (c.1990).</dc:description>
