Corporate Imperial War Museum, London 1920- In 1917 the British government decided that a museum should be set up to display material about the First World War. The Museum was open in the Crystal Palacein 1920, and was house from 1924 to 1935 in two galleries adjoining the former Imperial Institute, South Kensington. In 1936 the Museum moved to Lambeth Road London.
