Corporate Sir John Soane's Museum [1800s]- The museum was initally opened by architect John Soane to display his collections and library in his home in 13 Lincoln's Inn Fields, London, in the early 19th century. On his death in 1837, the house and its collections were preserved by Act of Parliament and the museum is still preserves Soane's original arrangement.
