Corporate 1987-2007 The collections were founded in the 1920s when a private collector donated all her collections to the Victoria and Albert Museum. In 1987 a dedicated museum was open called the Theatre Museum in Convent Garden. The Museum closed in 2007 and the collections now form the Theatre and Performance Collections at the V&A museum.
