From 1910-1913 she attended Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, and then trained for her Cambridge Teachers Certificate at St Mary's  College, Lancaster Gate.  She began her teaching career at several GPDST schools, Brighton and Hove High School, 1916-1917, and Notting Hill High School, 1918. In 1919 she became the head of Queen Ethelburga's School in Harrogate until she was appointed the principal of Jerusalem Girls' College, Jerusalem in 1925. In 1937 she returned to England to become the head of Norwich High School, another school of the GPDST, where she worked until her retirement in 1946. She remained in Norwich and died in October 1958 at the age of 77. </Nationality>
