Person Gladys Hudson (1897-1970)

1897-1970 Gladys Hudson was born in London on 3 July 1897. She was educated under the Vicar of Battersea; County Secondary School, Putney; and Bedford College for Women. She began her teaching career at the County Secondary School in 1921 and Brighton Municipal Secondary school in the same year. From 1921-1923 she taught at the County School for Girls', Chiswick before become a teacher at South Hampstead High School, a school owned by the Girls' Public Day School Trust. In 1935 she became the head of another GPDST school, Shrewsbury High School. She was a member of Allatt's Educational Trust Committee and a visitor at Dr Barnardo's homes for children.
