1908-1984 Prunella Riviere Bodington born in Winchester in 1907 and was the granddaughter of the artist Briton Riviere. She was educated at St. Swithun's School, 1918-1926, and St Hilda's College, Oxford, 1926-1929. She taught at St George's School, Ascot, 1930-1935, Royal High School, Bath, 1935-1938, and the Girls' Public Day School Trust (GPDST) school, Wimbledon High School, 1938-1946. She also lectured to the Girls' Training Corps and was the secretary to the Surrey branch of the Assistant Mistresses Association. She became the head of the GPDST Norwich High School in 1946, before moving on to South Hampstead High School in 1954, where she remained until her retirement in 1969. She was also the President of the Association of Head Mistresses, 1966-1968, and was represented the Association on various committees. She was the Honorary Secretary of the Friends of the GPDST from 1971.
