She was educated at home and Bedford College, London. In 1887 she entered Somerville Hall, Oxford. She graduates in 1890 but returned to Somerville Hall as the secretary to the Principal in 1894. From 1898-1929 she was the Vice-Principal. From 1929-1936 she was President of Aberdare Hall, Cardiff. She died on 4 November 1951. 

Alice was a member of the Council of the Girls' Public Day School Trust, 1902-1937 and Vice-President, 1924-1951. </Nationality>
