The Committee was offically formed in 1926 with Lamond acting as it's Honorary Secretary. In 1937 the Fellowship held a conference in various Australian cities which resulted in the formation of Fellowship sections across the country.
There were sections in Canberra (also called the Capital Territories Section), New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria, Western Australia and Tasmania. In 1938 'New Horizons' was first published as the journal of the New South Wales Section. In 1944 the Australian Federal Council was set up to unite the seven sections and the 'New Horizions' became the Council's journal. In the late 1960s the Federal Council was renamed the Australian Council. The Council was still active in 2009.</Nationality>
