[1901]-1982 Son of Maria Montessori (but referred to as her nephew before Maria's death). Later became her assistant and one of her greatest supporters. After Maria's death he was the head of the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) until his death. Also a goodwill member of the New Education Fellowship.
