DescriptionBook of manuscript poetry, titled "Rhymes for Mary Caroline". Contains several verses in the same hand, some original(?) and some quotations from works by Shelley, Byron, Moore, etc. Hand-coloured drawing of a lyre on the title page. Two bookplates on the front pastedown: "Mary Caroline" and "From the Library of Anne Renier and F.G. Renier." A note by William St Clair suggests the book was a gift to Mary Caroline (who he identifies as Emily de Wilde) from her husband (or possibly father). Most verses dated 1826 or 1827.
Most of the volume is blank.
