| Description | Commonplace album printed by J C Riker, New York. Signed 'L A Buckett'[?], Haverhill on front free endpaper. The book itself consists of a mixture of blank pages and printed engravings of Scottish highland scenes. The blank pages have been filled with a selection of quotations, mottoes, poetry etc written by others to the owner , many addressed "To Lucy". Many entries dated from Atkinson Academy [presumably the school in New Hampshire], 1853/4, and others from Haverhill, New Hampshire, forming a sort of early yearbook to Lucy from her classmates.
