Description | Handwritten letter from Orwell to Eleanor in which he states he is 'not a good correspondent' and that when he does write, it is at great length. He asks if Eleanor plans to visit London in the near future and lists the places to visit, 'even if you are hard up'. He also writes that he has finished the book 'Manon Lescaut', which he recommends, and that he believes there will be rioting in London if there is no improvement of general financial hardship. |
